Museum Visit
Western Han Nanyue King Tomb Museum
Study topic: to understand the history of museum and the tradition of Chinese funeral; to discuss with the tutor about the differences between Chinese funeral and Western funeral; to understand Feng-shui and Xuan-xue.
Basic Info: Visit the Museum of The Western Han Dynasty Mausoleum of The Nanyue King, the oldest and largest Han tomb with the most funerary objects in Lingnan (South of the Nanling Mountain) Area. As one of the 80 famous museums in the world, the museum covers 14,000 square meters (150, 699.6 square feet) with 10 exhibition halls.

Basic Info: Visit EnNing Rd. for historical sites, WenDe Rd. for calligraphy appreciation, & KangWang Rd. for the jade market.
Temple Visit
Foshan Zumiao Temple
Study topic: to learn vocabulary and phrases for making inquiries & learn about its amazing architecture and its significance; to understand Chinese religion Taoism & Chinese temple cultural.
Basic Info: The Zumiao Temple is located in Chancheng District proper of Guangdong, which was built in 1078-1085 for offering sacrifice to Northern Xuantian Heavenly Emperor, so it was called Beidi Temple. The original building was destroyed in the end of Yuan Dynasty and was rebuilt in 1372. As it experienced long history and is the first of temples in Foshan, so it was called Zumiao Temple.

Basic Info: The Nanfeng Furnace was built in 1506-1521, a rare furnace with a history of more than 400 years that is still in use for making ceramics. Yuexiu Park
Study topic: vocabulary and phrases to use at a local park; to understand the park's role in Guangzhou people's life.
Basic Info: Visit the Yuexiu Park. Yuexiu Park is the largest park in downtown Guangzhou. Covering an area of 860,000 square meters (212.5 acres), the park is made up of three artificial lakes and seven hills of Yuexiu Mountain; hence the name Yuexiu Park.Yuexiu Park is a perfect combination of cultural relics and ecological tourism, reputed for its pretty water and hills as well as cultural relics. The main places of interest include the stone sculpture of the Five Rams, Zhenhai Tower, the site of the Ming Dynasty City Wall, and Square Cannon Site.

Visit Guangzhou Puppet Art Center
Study topic: learn about the traditional culture and history of the wooden puppet center of Guangzhou; to understand the cultural life of Guangzhou people.
Basic Info: Guangdong Puppet Art Center hosts live puppet shows every Saturday and Sunday at 10:30 AM and 3 PM.
